Why should I use natural skincare products?
The skin is the largest organ of the human body and absorbs high levels of substances that it comes into contact with.  60% of what we put on our skin gets absorbed and travels right to our bloodstream, so ingredients should be a key factor when shopping.  It is shocking to learn about the chemicals that are in most skincare products we use daily. Hazardous chemicals like phthalates are a common component of the ingredient "fragrance."  Synthetic chemical ingredients, such as sulfates, petrochemicals and parabens, have even been linked to cancer.   We disclose all of our ingredients so you know exactly what you are putting on your skin.

What does "natural" mean?
Natural, pure, organic, botanical and herbal have become popular marketing terms. However, there is a lack of regulations and guidelines in the skincare industry.  Some products contain only 1% of natural ingredients, yet they are labeled as natural.  We define our products as "all natural" because we only use ingredients found in nature.  These ingredients are used in their raw, natural form or are extracted directly from plants.  All of our products are at least 70% organic.

What is the difference between commercial soaps, body washes and shampoo compared to the handcrafted products you offer?
Most of these commercial products are actually detergents and have had the glycerin removed during their manufacturing.  Glycerin is a very valuable moisturizer that is often extracted and sold separately as a by-product for use in other products.  Our all natural body washes and shampoos are made with organic plant oils that retain all that natural glycerin during the saponification process for its skin moisturizing benefits

Why should I use natural moisturizers?
There are many naturally occurring substances which have outstanding moisturizing properties and are known to be safe to use on your skin and lips. They are safer and more effective than the chemical alternatives used in many moisturizers that so many of us know by name. Petroleum-based moisturizers slightly moisturize the surface of the skin and trap the moisture there, thus temporarily making the skin feel less dry.  Our products use naturally effective, safe, concentrated moisturizing ingredients that deeply hydrate skin cells and help the cells regain their natural elasticity so that they are better able to keep moisture from escaping.

I have sensitive or problem skin.  Can I use your products?
Most people with sensitive skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis or acne find our products very helpful.  Since we do not use chemicals, detergents or dyes, our products are very gentle. 

Are your products vegan?
Yes. All our products are vegan. No honey or beeswax is used in any of our product. We also do not use any animal fats or any other animal ingredients in our products.  We do not support animal testing and use only cruelty-free ingredients obtained from verified sources.

What green practices does your company incorporate into its business?
We strive to be an environmentally responsible business because the environment is very important to all of us and we love the beauty of nature.  We use certified organic and sustainable ingredients as often as possible and recyclable packaging when manufacturing our biodegradable products We only use PETE 1 bottles. Energy star appliances, CFL lighting, recycled paper and boxes are used in our daily operations.  We prefer electronic communications over mail or catalogs to save resources. All the cleaners we use are non-toxic and biodegradable.
